Today, my students and I followed an invitation for a virtual company visit at Beiersdorf, the Hamburg-based market leader in the cosmetics industry with the vision “to become the number one skin care company in the world”. It was already our second visit. This time, Julian Kupfer and Vincent Tissinie gave us first-hand insights into the company´s digital transformation program Digital Fast Forward. We learned about the new role of IT as being a proactive business partner and value generator following the mission of Change IT. Lead IT. Love IT. The strategy actively involves managers and employees through new digital and participative instruments. The goal is to create a culture that embraces change and to shape a growth mindset.
